Gervonta Tank Davis will be a -700 favorite in his fight vs Frank Martin 450 when the two boxers slug it out on June 15 for the WBA. Lightweight knockout artist Gervonta Tank Davis will put his WBA title on the line against Frank Martin Saturday night at the MGM Grand.
Davis, who has a record of 28-0 with 26 KOs, is considered one of the best pound-for-pound boxers in the world. He is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Ryan Garcia in April. Martin, meanwhile, has a record of 18-2 with 15 KOs. He is ranked No. 7 in the WBA lightweight rankings.
The fight is expected to be a competitive one, but Davis is the clear favorite. He has more experience, power, and speed than Martin. Davis is also a southpaw, which could give him an advantage against the orthodox Martin.
If Davis wins, he will retain his WBA lightweight title. He could also move up in the pound-for-pound rankings and set up a future fight against one of the other top boxers in the world.
